Take your WordPress site to the next level with our newly launched reviews plugin

  • August 5, 2021

We recently released a new component that would make showing review widgets even more seamless than before: the Reviewshake WordPress reviews plugin.

Why did we build it? Because WordPress is the most popular content management platform in the world, powering a large percentage of online websites. And having a native plugin makes it very straightforward to show our review widgets on any WordPress installation.

Our first release of the plugin focuses on 2 areas:
1) Adding / removing review sources.
2) Adding / editing / displaying review widgets.

If you don’t have a Reviewshake account yet, you can do the entire setup of review sources and widgets from inside the plugin (you only need to claim your account and upgrade if you want more than 2 review sources). If you already have a Reviewshake account, it’s even simpler: just connect your subdomain and API key and all your existing review sources and widgets will be available (for now, we only support the default client or location).

Once you have set up the widgets, you can display them in the Header, Footer, or Sidebar of your blog from the Appearance -> Widgets section.

You can add reviews from more than 80 sources like Google, Facebook, Yelp, AirBnB, Expedia, G2 and many others. The number of different review sources that you can add depends on the plan that you have, but you can add a minimum of 2.

Below are a few screenshots of our plugin in action:

And here is how the widget looks once it’s installed:

If you want to try it, just install it directly from the WordPress plugin store from the admin panel of your WordPress site. We are looking forward to your feedback, as we plan to expand and improve it over time.
